What we collect
When you use our contact form we collect the name, email address, contact number, area or postcode and enquiry details you type in. We also record the IP address and browser identifier (user agent) of the device that sent the form, along with the date and time, so that we can block spam and abuse.
When you call or email us we keep your contact details and a record of what you asked for, so we can quote and carry out the work.
When you use the chat window the messages you send, and the contact details you choose to give, are handled by our chat provider on our behalf and reach us in the same way as an email.
When you simply browse our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time, to keep the site online and secure.
We do not ask for payment card details through this website, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and give you a quote (legitimate interests: you asked us to get in touch, and steps taken at your request before a contract).
- To carry out roofing work and honour our guarantees (performance of our contract with you).
- To keep records for tax and accounting (legal obligation).
- To prevent spam, fraud and abuse of the form, and to keep the site secure (legitimate interests).
- To measure and improve our advertising (your consent, given through the cookie banner, and withdrawable at any time).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We do use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare hosts this website, stores contact form submissions and runs the anti-spam check on the form.
- Amazon Web Services delivers the email notification of your enquiry to our inbox (Ireland region).
- Our email and chat providers, which hold your messages so we can read and reply to them.
- Google, which provides the advertising measurement and map features described under cookies below.
We may also pass your details to a tradesperson working with us on your job, and we will disclose information where the law requires it.
Our providers may process data outside the UK, most often in the EEA or the United States. Where that happens it is covered by UK adequacy regulations or by the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not turn into work: up to 2 years, then deleted.
- Customer records, invoices and job details: 6 years after the last job, for tax and legal reasons.
- Records relating to a guarantee: for the life of that guarantee (up to 15 years on a new roof), so we can honour it.
- Technical and security logs: a short period, usually days or weeks, set by our hosting provider.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. Only the strictly necessary ones are set when you arrive. Advertising and measurement cookies are set only if you press "Accept cookies" on the banner.
- Strictly necessary. Cloudflare sets cookies to keep the site secure and to run the "verify you are human" check on our contact form. We also store your cookie choice in your browser so we do not ask again on every page.
- Advertising and measurement (consent only). Google Ads sets cookies
such as
_gcl_auso we can see which of our adverts led to an enquiry or a phone call. We do not currently run Google Analytics on this site. - Chat. Our chat widget stores a small identifier in your browser so that a conversation stays open while you move between pages.
- Embedded content. The map on our contact page is served by Google and the site's fonts are served by Google Fonts. Loading them tells Google your IP address.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of this site or other sites may then stop working properly.
Your rights
